The Tipis at Mapledurham Journey
Mapledurham House is a historic 12th Century estate nestled in the picturesque landscapes of the Thames Valley in Berkshire. The 2000 acre estate is a haven of tradition, coupled with sustainability to maintain its viability and ensure its longevity.
From May 2025, a new sustainable and elegant event space is launching at the infamous Mapledurham Estate. Guests will have unique access to the house, large tipi space and watermill as well as the grounds and distinctive outdoor features.
Raw Tipis, experts in crafting exquisite sustainable events, are the creative force behind this new outdoor venue. With a long history of designing and supplying over 100 events annually throughout the home counties, Raw Tipis bring a wealth of event knowledge, 5* customer service, and creativity to this unique and beautiful venue.

Versatile Event Space
Whether you're planning a wedding, corporate function or want to celebrate a special occasion, immerse yourself in the ambience of our elegant tipis within the beautiful Mapledurham grounds.
Our tipis offer ample space for up to 160 guests in their standard internal configuration, but what sets Tipis at Mapledurham apart is the flexibility to customise the internal layout to your liking for no additional fee. The only fixed items are the fully equipped 5m circular bar (corkage fee free), internal lights and the built-in stage.
Typically, two tipis are arranged for the formal dining area seating 120-160 guests, one tipi hosts a dedicated lounge and bar space, and the final tipi contains a spacious dance floor and stage.
For larger events exceeding 160 attendees, additional structures and furniture that can double the capacity may be available.
All-inclusive furniture and lighting, as well as the unique ability to change furniture mid-event, adds an extra layer of versatility, allowing our venue to adapt to your evolving needs, expectations and budget.
